I've an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow to go over the MRI results for my knee, basically I've torn the ACL (old injury) of my left knee and caused further problems with degenerative arthritis. Like a fool I continued training for the past two years, which has contributed further to my arthritis, already caused from an old knee injury sustained from playing rugby league. Now the training has worked in helping stabilise the knee, but hasn't completly removed the play within, resulting in further degeneration and now the requirement to have the surgery. Hopefully the arthritis isn't so severe that this will stop the operation from going ahead, otherwise the next step would be a knee replacement in the not too distant future. My first op was more than 18 years ago, and was not a success, I'm lead to believe this is quite a common routine op now with good results. Anyone any experience of this type of injury and reconstruction, and if so, how long would you anticipate before I'm back into the full swing?

Damn mate, thats sounds serious!
Out of interest did the HGH you used help at all?
Im sorry I dont have any experience of this myself, but know a few people with similar injuries who took upto 3 months before the gym was even a possibility!

Yeah the HGH does help dramatically, but it's time for the op, I can still squat 500lbs and leg press 30plates for 15reps without pain, the pain comes from warming up and light weight, it just seems the heavier I go the less pain!! Although I'm conscious that I'm causing further damage by training so heavy, the doc has said due to the arthritis not to stop training, otherwise longer term I will struggle to walk. I suppose I'm hoping it's not too late and the op can go ahead without issue, the minds willing, but it seems the body isn't quite able at the moment. I'm told they will start re-ab the day after the op to reduce scar tissue and increase flexibility to the joint, but serious training is out the question until 6months after the op! Well I'm determined to come through and regain the size in my quads I had in my 20's and do some damage on stage next year!! Watch this space!!!

Ye you keep that attitude dude.
I woud certainly advise you try out Cisuss Quadrangularis!!!! Are you familiar with this?
